( i'fcli i’UKfci AbcUCI A *-; Auckland, August 30
The mail steamer Niagara arrived yesterday afternoon from Vancouver, after an uneventful voyage. The liner was delayed for five and a half days at Honolulu, when the captain received sealed orders and put to sea, coining on to Auckland with lights out. She brought 809 bags and hampers of European, American and Canadian mails. Among the passengers from Vancouver were Commissioners Hay and Richards, of the Salvation Army, who returned from the London Congress. ■ The s.s. Riverina also brought to Auckland 320 bags of European, American, and Australian mails from Sydney. The southern portion of these mails was despatched by last night’s express.
