THE MEAT QUESTION.
[To The Editor Stratford Post.'] answer to Messrs Camion and Co.’s letter of yesterday’s date re reducing the price of meat, I desire to point out that it is somewhat misleading. *VI hat really did occur was that they, in common with the other butchers doing business in Stratford, were approached to reduce tire prices for cash, so as to discourage booking as much as possible, in the present condition of affairs, as the auctioneers and other wholesalers require cash, and we of necessity must do the same, as much as possible. Consequently, it is not as would appear in the aforesaid mentioned firm as the only philanthropists doing business as butchers in Stratford. Thanking you in anticipation for publishing the above, —I am, etc.,
T. D. COLSON,

There was no mention of an actual rise.—l am, Me., : A. F. CUFF: ‘
