GERMANY'S LAST LINE OF
DEFENCE.

The Government has ordered boys between the ages of 16 and 19 to commence a course of musketry and military training, military officers being employed as instructors.

Berlin., Angus! 26. An official bulletin states that General von Uergolty. has been appointed military governor of the occupied portion of Belgium. A civil administrator has also been appointed.

It is reported at Athens that in the event of Bulgaria and Turkey attacking Servia and Greece, the Entente would warmly support the latter States.
FLASH EQUIPMENT TO BE REMOVED. (Received S.O a.m.) London, August 26. A German army Order enjoins that no decorations are to lie worn on tho battle field. All parts of the uniform equipment which will flash in the sun are to be removed.

MEINCINEN KBLED AT NAMUR.
(RceiveLd 10.5 a.m.) Copenhagen, August 26. The Berlin official news agency states that Prince Frederick of Saxe Meiningen was killed hy a shell at Namur on the 23rd inst.
