Italy.
THE MAP OF EUROPE UNDERGOING ALTERATION.
Paris, August 24
M. Delcasse, interviewed, said that Italy’s neutrality was already a great advantage to the Allies. It was not for a foreigner to say whether Italy should depart from her neutrality, hut circumstances might arise making this advantageous.’ The map of Europe, he said, will be entirely rearranged for a century, and the next Congress will have a heavier task than after Waterloo. “Italy,” continued M. Delcasse, “has nothing to fear from England, France and Russia, who have no possible objection to the realisation of Italy’s aspirations.” (One of Italy’s national aspirations is to regain territory filched from her in the past by Austria).
