In the attack' on Vladimirvolynsk, there were desperate and repeated assaults all day, and only two out of an Austrian company survived. It is alleged that the Austrians used explosive bullets. The Bed Cross is retaining samples.
COSSACKS SURPRISED AND DEFEATED.
Vienna, August 21
Galician troops in a night attack surprised a thousand Cossacks at Miechow. The Cossacks lost four hundred, and the Galicians lost 1-10, butoccupied Miechow.
