The touring hockey team of English ladies met the local team this afternoon. Wanganui was outclassed at every point of the game, and beaten hy nine goals to one. Goals were scored for the visitors by Misses Fames (3), Gaskell (1), Elwell (1), B. Take (1), and Teacroft (3), and for Wanganui by Miss Ivy Perrett.
