TRAVELLERS REPORT CRAVE SITUATION. SCARCITY OF FOOD AND INTERNAL DISSENSION. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London, August 20. Travellers from Trieste declare that the situation in Austria is grave owing to the general scarcity of food. Mobilisation is completed, but the authorities are afraid to move the troops on account of internal dissensions.

It is officially reported that tie Austrians at Sabale (PSabatz) numbered eighty thousand.
SLATIN PASHA VOLUNTEERS.
London, August 20
Router's Berlin correspondent declares that Slatin Pasha, British In-spector-General of the Soudan-, has resigned, in consequence of Great Britain's declaration of war on Austria. He has returned to Vienna and placed his services at the disposal of his country.
FERMENT IN THE PICTURESQUE CAPITAL OF BOHEMIA.
AUSTRIAN REPRISALS.
(Received 8.10 a.m.) St. Petersburg, August 20
The Novoo Vremya's Kieff correspondent states that letters from Bohemia, assert that during reprisals in the uprising in Prague the finest monuments in the city were destroyed, and shops pillaged by Austrians. A further uprising two days later followed with further reprisals.
