AUSTRIAN CRUISER CENTA SUNK BY THE FRENCH. REPORTED 201 MEN KILLED. (Received 10.40 a.m.) Paris, August 19. “Le Gaulois” states that the Austrian cruiser sunk off Antivari by the French was the Genta, 24,000 tons, carrying sixteen guns, with seventeen officers and 284 men. It is stated that 201 were killed. THE COEBEN AND BRESLAU. THREATENING INCIDENT IN THE DARDANELLES. (Received 10.40 a.m.) Paris, August 19. When tho Goeben and Breslau were in the Dardanelles they threatened to sing the French steamer Sakhalin. Tho, latter induced the Turkish authorities to convoy her with a destroyer to the open sea. The deputyGovcrnor of the Dardanelles was aboard as a guarantee of safety.
