On Tuesday, 11th inst., we held our isual fortnightly sale in our Strut- . ord yards. The yarding was fair, ut apparently the war has shaken ho confidence of purchasers as bidting was slack. However,, a fair •loarance was effected privately at lie following prices :—- , Rmpty 1 ioiters 55s to 72s fill, empty •ows 72s to 78s, yearling steers 50s, >-'ss, forward ,-cows 83s to 90s, mixed •imbs lis 'lod, yearling heifers up to 'Bs, wethers 20s. In the dairy yards here was a fair entry but the quality ran not up to our usual standard except a line' of rising 3-year-old heifers Shorthorn) yarded by Mr Alex. * soyd, Toko Road, which were the •nest lino of heifers of the kind yardd for some Lime and were sold under cry keen competition for £B, .L'S ss, :), £9 15s and up to £ll.
