Last advices from Constantinople state that the Goeben and Breslau are already flying the Ottoman flag, and that the German crews had landed. It is understood in London that no money has,yet oeen paid, nor has Tur r key received the amount of the .compensation due for tho seizure of her Dreadnoughts. . ■ . Greece and Turkey are much disturbed at the sale of the Goeben and Breslau. } It is expected Italy.will demand explanations of their futher use. EXTRAORDINARY ACTION OF GERMAN CRUISERS. A BREACH OF NEUTRALITY. (Received 8.25 a.m.) London, August 14. Turkey declared that the Goeben and Breslau entered the Dardanelles under the Ottoman flag because they had been purchased from Germany. France considers that the sudden conversion into Turkish ships after bombarding' two French ports constitutes a breach of neutrality. TURKEY'S ASSURANCE OF HER ABSOLUTE NEUTRALITY. AN APPEAL TO THE ENTENTE. (Received 8.25 a.m.) London v August 14. Prince Fddin, nephew of the Sultan, telegraphed to the French Ministry, stating that Turkey appeals for support to Tho Entente in order to guarantee tho existence of Turkey, which is threatened by pan-German-ism . The Turkish Ambassador assured EnEdward Grey that Turkey, despite the purchase of the warships intends to remain neutral, and not embark on any policy of adventure strategists.
