( Russians are still masters of the Gulf of Finland. Fearing a German attack, they smashed the lenses in Bonsker lighthouse, worth GO,OOO kronen apiece. The comamnder was ordered to mine the harbor at Han go and blow up the pier only in case of imminent danger. The comamnder, in a fit of nervousness, blew up the valuable harbor works, and, seeing his mistake, suicided. '’ATRiDTIC MOSCOW MERCHANTS (Received 9.5 a.m.) St. Petersburg, August 13. Merchants of Moscow raised £250,000 in a quarter of an hour for the wounded and their families. The Grand Duke Constantinovitch has offered his famous marble palace as a hospital.
