A survivor from the Amphion states that there were two distinct explosions. The first tore the bows, and the second ripped the side. Many perished while asleep. There was no panic, as the men went to the lifeboats, the wounded going first. Before the Amphion sank, the magazine exploded, and fragments killed three survivors who had reached the rescuing destroyers. CENSORSHIP OVER THE TELEPHONE SYSTEM.
