A baby—Elizabeth Margaret Cass, 18 months old, whose parents reside at Boolite—met with a terrible death yesterday afternoon. , The mother had occasion to go into the garden, and on returning to the house a little time after missed the chil d. She saw her a few yards away from a chaff-house, where the men were employed cutting chaff. The mother ran after her, but was just a few seconds too late to prevent the child. She saw her a few yards away She had climbed on to the horsewor’ks, and, in the view of the mother, was mangled. The wheels drew the child in, completely severing the body.
