BROTHERS ALL.

In the maze of sorry situation, wrangling, mistake and misunderstanding, which has grown out of the Home Rule question during the past few months, we in these distant lands have almost forgotten some things we ought to have remembered. But the crisis of to-day has told the world again what splendid fellows Irishmen are, and no matter how they may be divided in opinion as to their own internal affair's, they have but one thought when a foreign foeman threatens the seagirt isles of Britain. Should that sore need arise, it may be that once again our enemies have judged wrongly, and while thinking that England's home embarrassments would keep her busy, will learn their great mistake. Truly, if Nationalist and Ulster volunteers were to take the field side by side in defence of the Empire it would be a world's lesson: and if the'dark daj comes when such a cour.se is for the Empire's weal, then Irishmen as brothers will give the world that lesson.
