VALEDICTORY.

A very pleasing function took place in the testing labaratory of the Stratford Dairy Factory this morning, when the staff of the central factory and branch creameries met to bid farewell to the late manager, Mr W. Y. Kirkman. Mr J. Lister made appreciative reference to the happy relations that had always existed between Mr Kirkman and his staff, and the esteem in which lie was held by them, as a token of which they asked him to accept a going to, and his friends hoped he would find useful. Mr Kirkman was also assured of their best wishes lor his success in the new position ho was goin gto, and his friends hoped he would he able to make as good a record in his new factory as he had had in Stratford, and that Mrs Kirkman would bo bonefitted by the change of olimate. - Mr Kirkman, in responding, made reference to the loyal support he had always had from the staff and said lie was fully aware the success that had been attained in the past seasons not altogether from his efforts, but the result of the co-operation of the creamery men and those, iii the central factory. The meeting concluded by each member of the staff bidding goodbye to Mr Kirkman and wishing’him the best of wishes in his new sphere.
