THE LIBERAL FOR EGMONT
MR D. L. ASTBURY SELECTED. [Per Press Association.] Eltham, July 30. At a representative meeting of delegates of the Egmont Liberal League held at Kaponga yesterday, Mr D. L. Astbury was selected as the Liberal candidate for the forthcoming general election. The proceedings Were very enthusiastic, and generous offers of support were forthcoming from all parts of the electorate. At the close, Mr Astbury delivered an address, (touching upon the leading questions of the day, and was warmly applauded.
