THE NEW ZEALAND TARIFF. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 11.30 a.m.) London, July 28. At a meeting of the Pacific Cable Board, the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie (New Zealand’s High Commissioner) again moved the reduction of the New Zealand tariff. Finding lie was unable to secure a majority, ho accepted a resolution which was carried that the Board, recognising the inof|uitahlcness of the New Zealand tariff, resolves to make further representations to secure a reduction in the Australian terminal rate;, and that, failing to secure it before, the end of the financial year, the Board will reduce the New Zealand rate to 2s Bd.
