A DAIRYMEN'S CLUB.

WHAT MR DINCLE ' SO6.CESTS,

A suggestion of interest to the fanning community was thrown out at the annual meeting of the Strat-, ford Co-op. this morning by the chairman. Mr E. Dinglo said that there were a lot of questions of very great interest in the dairying industry' that might be discussed among members, but the annual meeting was not the place for discussion. It "was a g'/Mt pity,' he said, that they could not mpet more often and discuss thexa . matters.' (Hear, hear.) The suggestion could be carried out in Stra.tfor.cl if dairymen would form a club and meet in the winter and compare notes' and try to Help each other to get more butfcerfat than they were getting at the present time. .(ri«nr, hear.) The question of butteifat was getting very serious, the land was going to be considerable, and prices considerable, but, said Mr Dingle, lie w*s sorry to say the quantity was not going up as it should. He referred to the very keen interest being taken by suppliers to the Kaupokomii factory, whore they had 'to pay £7O to £BO an acre, and he urged upon his hearers to try and iproduce more butterfat. There,'some individual producers secured over 'JOO lbs, one averaging over 3401b5. Kaupokomii factory averaged 2501b5, but Stratford was not anything like that. Midhirst, was moving much faster than Stratford. Mr Dingle asked them to be more careful in the selection of their herds. He said he was not present to ssy what class of cow should be in use, but the time had arrived when they should get more butterfat than they were really doing, and that would be an individual advantage to overy man producing butterfat ' off bud in the Dominion. In conclusion, LVIr Dingle said ha believed something V-n the nature of his suggestion would be of great advantage to, the share- ■ kblders.
