The' scenic and eome'dy pictures are of thej highest possible order. The dramas! are headed l>y Nordisk's latest sensation. ''Count 1 Zarka." Count Zarka" is the name of an adventurer who moves' in high society, hut who consorts when need be with scoundrels of the underworld. His services are sought by Count Bernstein, the Waldowian ambassador, when his plans for n commercial treaty with the neighboring State of Boroska go awry. Count Bernstein is particularly vindictive towards Prince Roel, the son and heir of the Prince Regent of Boroska. Prince Hoel is in love with Count Harlberg's daughter, Phillipa, Count Zarka having designs in that direction himself. The Prince arranges to give a ball at the Court, to which Count Zarka is invited, and seding the opportunity this may present him for consummating his plans, Count Zarka visits a low-down den, where he knows he tan command the services of a gang of criminals. The guests assemble in two long ranks when the Prince is announced, and he enters, smiling and bowing, into the room—only to stop short suddenly when he catches sight •. of Phillipa wearing a spray of white roses, and with Count Zarka, a triumphant look in his eyes, by her side. In the end the'Count dies miserablv in the trap he has laid for the Prince. All then ends happily. Music, which includes "Madame Butterfly," will be a specialty, by the Van Heck orchestra. I
