Labori read Caillaux 3 love letters, the prisoner sobbi:ig violently. Many passionate endearments wore read out, one expfo-'sing the fear of blackmail ended: "A thousand million kisses all over your adored little body." The prisoner fainted, and guards carried her out. Injections of ether became necessary before she recovered and the hearing was resumed in an hour.
Labori declined to rea;l the rest of the letters.
Judge Albanel, President of the Court, has sent his seco ids to Judge Dagoury, the Assessor assisting Albanel, owing .to Danoury remonstrating in Court with Albanel for favoring the Caillauxs. The duel was averted and the matter referred to the Minister for Justice.
