The Shakespeare Memorial Committee is inviting designs up to September 15 for a National theatre, and offer a prize of 500 guineas. Since May, 26 plays have been produced in London and eleven survived the popularity of the revue, which continues to oust musical comedy, hut several serious plays were an unprecedented success.
