Mr A. E. Trott, the well known English cricketer, is in St. Mary's hospital, seriously ill, states a London cablegram. The death has occurred in London of the Hon. John Blair Whyte, formerly a member of the Legislative Council. He was a farmer in the Waikato. Mr H. A. Fox, manager of the Office Appliance Company, who was seriously injured in the railway accident at Whangdmarino in May, has recovered sufficiently to be removed from the hospital.

Dr. Carbery, it is interesting to learn from a cable just received, has passed his examination as a F.R.C.5.1., and was first in the whole College. Dr. Carbery is leaving for New Zealand by the S.S. Moultan.
