ARRESTED ON A STEAMER.
GISBORNE JEWEL ROBBERY.

Gisborne, July 22
As a further sequel to tin; burglary at Grieves’ jewellery shop on the night of June 13. when some C 1(500 worth of jewellery was stolen, a man was today arrested aboard the s.s. \ ictoria in the Gisborne roadstead by Retentive McLeod, and will be charged with breaking and entering. Two men are already awaiting trial on a charge ol breaking and entering,’ and sentence for receiving stolen property in connection with the robbery, and the police believe that to-day’s Wrest completes the, apprehension of ttie gang. They are unlerstood to l>c hopelul now of discovering the bulk ol the missing valuables. The man arrested to-day was a passenger from Tpkomaru Bay bv the Victoria.
