LIBERAL CANDIDATE FOR PATEA |Tbr Phebb Abbooiation ] Hawera, July 21.
At a largely-attended and representative gathering of delegates from the Patea electorate at Patea on Monday, Mr W. Morrison, of Maxwelltown, was unanimously selected as the Liberal Party's candidate to contest the Patea seat against the sitting member, Mr G. V. Pearce.
Messrs T. M. Wilford and W. D. S. MacDonald addressed a public meeting in the evening, when a resolution was carried expressing confidence in the Liberal Party as led by Sir Joseph Ward.
