... — ——- RESULT OF HEAVY GALES. [Pkb Press Association.] Christchurch,’ July 20. The launch Jean Wilson, which left Lyttelton sixteen days ago, had an exciting experience. Heavy gales started on the return trip from Kaikoura with a second launch, the Kingfisher, in tow. The gales increased and the occupants had to cut the Kingfisher adrift. Later, when the Jean Wilson was in peril, she was sighted by the steamer Petoae, which towed her to port.
