The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for westerly moderate to strong winds, with southerly tendency shortly. The weather will probably bo cold and with a very cold night. The barom- ■ etor has a rising tendency.
