MEXICO AND AMERICA.
HUERTA’S FARTING STATEMENT [By Emotrio Telkouapk— Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 1.15 p.m.) Mexico City, July 16. Huerta, in a statement announcing his resignation, alluded bitterly to the outrage committed by the American Fleet in capturing Vera Cruz, and also to the support of the Constitutionalists. However, the attitude of the Mexican Government during its short life dealt a death blow to the unjust power of the United States. Later, strong workers would come who would undoubtedly • end this Power which committed so many outrages upon the American Continent. Later, during the sitting of the Chamber of Deputies, Sen or Blanco hotly attacked American political methods, which clrove them to interfere in Mexico. Seuor Blanco was ■loudly cheered. Reports are current of the formation of a junta in El Paso. It is intended to start a counter revolution in favor of Felix Diaz against the Com stitutionalists. It is understood Huerta has left for Puerta Mexico, intending to depart for Europe. Seuor Blauquet, Minister for War, is Accompanying him. CARBAJAL SWORN IN, Mexico City,, July 16. Both Houses accepted Huerta’s resignation. Carbajal was'sworn in as President, and afterwards drove to the National Palace. He was greeted with tutruiltious cheering. AMERICA’S SATISFACTION. Washington, July 15. The State Department hardly conceals its satisfaction at Huerta’s resignation. It is expected that Carbajal has made satisfactory arrangements to hand over office to the "Constitutionwhen Carranza reaches the capital. American forces are remaining "at Vera Cruz until a settlement is effected. ,
