YESTERDAY’S MATCHES. Stratford met New Plymouth High School in the first junior competition at New Plymouth yesterday, winning by five points (a try by Rogers, converted by Collins) to three (a penalty goal by Sinclair). In the first spell Collins (Stratford) injured his shoulto be replaced. Mr W. Roch acted as referee. Tukapa beat Star by 11 (three tries, one converted) to nil. Owing to Inglewood having forfeited two matches the team is now debarred from playing in the first junior competition and therefore the match set for yesterday with Clifton, was not played. At Tariki a team from the Tariki Senior Cqdets defeated Inglewood “Old Boys” by 22 points to 6. The following team will represent Toko in their match against Tahora at Toko to-morrow afternoon, at 3 o’clock sharp:—Backs; Piper, Goldup, Mather, Corbett, Cheer, Bayly; forwards; Beloe, Wiles, Ritchie, Marfell, O’Carroll, Evans, Caskey, Kilpatrick, Ferguson ; emergencies: Lyford, Roberts (forward), Gillick, B. Marfell (back).
