FIRES.

I Per Pmgj AußnounoN-l Auckland, July 15. A fire gutted a tobacconist and hairdresser’s shop and six dwelling rooms on Pons on by road at 8 o’clock tonight, occupied by George L. Huiller, who resided on the premises with his wife. Both went out ten minutes before the outbreak, leaving all apparently safe. The city and Grey Lynn brigades suppressed the flames in half-an-hour, hut only the piano was saved. The furniture and. stock were insured for £l3O. The loss is estimated at £SO in excess of that amount. Insurances on the building were unascertainable.
