I The English ladies’ hockey team defeated Victoria by 9 to nil. CRICKET. (Received 10.30 a.m.) London, July 15. The gentlemen made 275, and the players 150. On a' wet wicket, the first four Players’ wickets fell for seven. Douglas took four wickets for 67, F. Foster 4 for 56, and S. Smith 2 for 27 AQUATICS. (Received 10.25 a.m.) Melbourne, July 16. Harvard University cabled that they would be unable to compete in Henley Yarra regatta.
