The going was holding: Results:— Vittoria Hurdles, of 120sovs., two miles.—Parawanui 1, Rua'tangata 2, Cheddar 3. Scratched: Immensity, Merry Valet, Glenorchy, Brackon, Pelican. Parawanui led all the way, but just scored by a head. Time,. 4mm .8 1-osec. Stewards' Handicap, of 20Qso.vs., seven furlongs.—Kaniki 1, Tatimi 2, iKew 3. Scratched: Bluestone, Moutoa Girl, Royal Sleeves. Won by three lengths. Time,. Irain 35 4-ssec.
Hack Hunters' Steeplechase, of 150 sovs., two and a-half miles.—Northern 1, Bonny 2, Fritz 3. Scratched: Tngeukender. Bonny led most of the way. Northern came with a fine late run and won by half.a length. Makuri fell. Time, smin 54 2-ssec. Trial Plate, of lOOsovs., six furlongs—Shaki 1, Need 2, Te Opai 3. Scratched: Te Hou.Hou, Try Fhike, Miss Clements. Won by two lengths, one length between second and third. Time,, lmin 22 2-ssec. Steeplechase, of lOOOsovs., about three miles and a-quarter.—Captain Jack 1, Jackman 2, Sir Lethe 3. Scratched: Kauroa. Antarctic and Sportsman fell and Huffy ran off.
