CARNIVAL QUEEN CONTEST

Last nigbt delegates from the, friendly societies met and decided to nominate Miss A. Cramer as their candidate for the contest. Mr G. Burgess was appointed to represent the societies on the contest executive and Mr J, H. Harston and Mr Burgess joint sees. Red, white and blue were fixed for tho candidate's colors. A general meeting is to be called this week for the purpose of forming a committee to further the candidate's interests. At a meeting of the A. and P. Association, held last night, Miss McCullough was selected as the queen candidate.
