A MOTION GUILLOTINED. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, July 14. The Wellington Diocesan Synod tonight guillotined a motion expressing "sympathy with the New Zealand Alliance in its endeavor to obatin more equal conditions of voting on the liquor question at next election." An amendment to pass on to the next business was carried by 45 (28 clergy and 17 laity) to 14 (5 clergy and 9 laity).
