The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but southerly moderate to strong winds prevailing. The weather will probably prove squally, with heavy showers. Weather probably cold and changeable. Barometer rising.
