WORSE THAN IN MEXICO.
MAITLAND MINERS’ STRIKE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press (Association.] (Received 10.15 a.ra.) Sydney, July 14. The President of the United Laborers’ Union, who visited the Maitland strike area, states that the situation there is worse than in Mexico. An army of 3000, with no plan of campaign, is thrown entirely on its own resources. The present position is worse than any industrial trouble since the maritime strike of 1890. The only way out of the difficulty was foi miners to reorganise and prevent politicians having official control.
