It is officially announced that the Sixteenth Infantry, Newcastle, Australia, won the Empire Day Cup with '2932 points. The Fourth King’s Royal Rifles was aecond with 2740. The Thirty-eighth Dogras, Malakand (India), was third with 2644. The Marine Artillery, Portsmouth, was fourth with 2632. The Rifle meeting at Bisley opened in fine but hot weather.
