IMPORTANT JERSEY SALE.

A special reminder is given to our readers of the pedigree Jersey sale a t “Chislohurst,” Eltham, on Thursday next on account'' of Mr J. Phillips, Senr. Judging by the successful sale held by Mr R. J. Linn, at Normanby, on Friday last and the high prices obtained for grade Jersey cattle, the old favorite is still held as great a friend to the small daily faimer as ever. \V ith the advent of closer and more scientific farming it must be apparent to all dairymen that it pays to breed from pedigree cattle, and in this connection we draw special attention to Mr Phillips’ sale, where the vendor, as is well known, has always been very careful with his sires. The cows have some great dairy blood running through them, being all connected with the celebrated “K.C.8.,” Magnet’s Boy,” and “Doctor” strains.
