Gordon Inglis, representing the Australasian Tennis Association, had luncheon with the Australasian team at #he Savoy Hotel on the eve of their departure for America. Brookes, responding, said that it was br&ba-bly -the - last -time he would play as an international. The team would do its best to regain the trophy. Wilding said he anticipated a keen struggle and the result was doubtful. Parke, A. H. Lowe, Mavrogordato, and Kingscote have been selected to meet Australasia in America, in the «vent of Britain defeating France.
