An impression is gaining ground (states the Argus) that Mr J. D. Crowley, of Kaponga, is willing to stand for the Egmont seat in the interests of the Liberal Party. A meeting of delegates is to be held at Kaponga on Wednesday. Mr Astbury, it is stated, has placed himself freely in the hands of delegates, and will loyally support whichever candidate may be selected by representative delegates. During the discussion on the. Victoria College Amendment Bill in the House last night, Mr T. Wilford suggested that the Taranaki education district should be co-terminous with the Taranaki provincial district. Messrs Wilkinson and Okey agreed with the suggestion.
