STRUCK THE CHIEF MATE.
TWO MONTH'S IMPRISONMENT. [Phb Press Association.] Wanganui, July 8. McGinn, cook on the barque Maimrewa was charged before tlio Court to-day with assaulting the chief mate by striking liim on the head with a bar of iron. The blow was very severe, cutting to the bone. A sentence of two months' imprisonment was imposed.
