THE BIBLE IN SCHOOLS.

, Dannevirke, July 7. Two deputations waited on Mr G. Hunter, M.P., relative to the Bible-in-Schools question. One was from Dannevirke and districts and the Ministers' Association, and the other representing the Catholic community. Mr Hunter, in reply, made it clear that while he opposed Bible-teaching in schools, he would support the present Bill before Parliament providing for a referendum.
