The Herald says: “Never was a more heroic exhibition of pluck and determination seen on a football field than the Englishmen’s.” “MORE THAN RUGBY.” The Telegraph says: ‘ ‘lt was more than Rugby—it was magnificent. It was the British pluck we read about, and that has done wonderful things in other branches of national activity. It was a Rugby glory.” IMMENSE TAKINGS. The Sydney matches yielded £ll,824. The Herald estimates that when tne tour is over the English team’s gross takings will reach £IO,OOO.
