TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. MR NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, 30th June, I held my four-weekly sale of above produce, the catalogue comprising 9 bales and 36 sacks wool, 627 hides, 125 calfskins, 1750 sheepskins, 7 casks and 60 tins tallow, and the usual assortment of horns, Bones, hair, tails, etc. There was a good attendance of buyers and competition was very spirited throughout. Wool.—Small offering. Firm at late rates. Sheepskins.—These met with spirit, ed competition, and showed an advance of id to £d all round. Hides.—Light hides were at par; heavy hardly maintaining late rates. Farmers' light advanced Jd to 3d per lb. Tallow. —This again showed a decline 10s per ton, owing to oversea reports being unfavorable. Calfskins.—Advanced l*d to Ifd per lb.

Calfskins: Firsts ll£d to Is, seconds 9|d to 10£d, cut 7d. Horsehair: Is 7£d per lb, cowtails Is 7£d per doz, horse tails 6d each, goatskins 2s 9d each, horns Is &d to 5s per hundred, bones £5 per ton. My next sale will be held on Tuesday, July 28th.
