FIRE.

A disastrous lire occurred about 7.30 this evening, when Mr tJ. P. Donnelly's fine residence, "Otatara," at Taradale, an eighteen-roonied building, was completely destroyed. Mr Donnelly and his sister, Mrs Hoadley, were at dinner at the time the outbreak of fire was discovered by a maid in an upstairs bedroom. Some valuable pictures and a few articles of furniture were saved, but a large quantity ,of valuable furniture was destroyed.' Three-quarters of an hour after the outbreak was discovered the strong room was the only portion of the building left standing.
