Mr Holman announced his intention to enter upon . a now immigration policy similar to that adopted by New Zealand, and rather than, assist to increase the pollution in Sydney, lie would prefer to see the whole scheme of assisted immigration disappear altogether. Ho proposes to establish a State eoal mine for railway supplies; to increase the number of paid ministers to tonj to amend the Constitution Act and make women eligible for election to the State Parliament; to put the trams underground; in the system of gun licenses to check the use of pea-rifles; the prohibition of monopolies in the necessities of life; the abolition of the death sentence; the illegal publication of certain evidence; the amendment of company law; the establishment of State ironworks; a greater Sydney Council is to be created and the present forty-two petty municipalities abolished; to frame a now Building Act for the City, and a Town Planning Act for the country.
