SWEPT BY A TSOAL WAVE. WALL OF WATER 42FT HICH, [By Eleotbio Telegbaph—Copybigh*] .[United Peesh ir-snouTiON.] (Received 9.20 a.m.) Sydney, July 1. News has been received that a tidal wave rising 42ft, swept over Nassau Island, doing considerable damage. John Petersen and his wife lost everything, and suffered privations from want of food and water lor five months until rescued by the steamer Dawn and conveyed to Apia.
