The Government Meteorologist (Rev D. 0. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows: The indications are for freshening from strong to gale, northerly winds after about 10 hours. Increasing haze 'and cloudiness for an unfavorable change in the weather shortly. Barometer falling.
