Madame Bernard left for Wellington by this morning’s mail on a business trip. . The Hon. Mr Carmichael, New South Wales’ Minister of Public Instruc--1 tion, haa. arrived in London, states the cables, ■ The Hon. Mr Herries, Minister ot Railways, arrives by the mail train this evening, and will proceed by the special train to-morrow morning to the celebrations at Whangamomona. Mr J. B. Hine, M.P., has now thoroughly recovered from the attack of influenza which prevented him attending the opening of Parliament, and will be present at to-morrow’s function at Whangamomona. ■ . Dr. Dunk, of Sydney, who has been , recommended as a first-class man (states the Ohura Advocate) has cabled to Mr McClenaghan (secretary), accepting the position of medical officer to the Ohura Medical Association. Dr. Dunk is a married man.
