Replying to allegations of unfair treatment of investors in the Midland railway, Mr Newton More, in a long letter to the Observer, sets out the circumstances of the company’s com cession, justifying the construction of the Wogan Hills Mullewa Railway and the taxation of the Midland Company. The Observer insists that the conditions were altered to the detriment of shareholders.
