BERNARD’S PICTURES. To-night’s new series of star pictures to be presented at Bernard’? Theatre is “great.” The new Dominion Co. of players will present for the first time the drama entitled “The Informer,” a remarkable Irish story, sounding the heights and depths of human nature. “Through the Valley of the Danube” is a splendid scenic. “Her First Offence” (Lubin drama), shows Janet, John and Violet, children of the widow Smith. John is taken ill and the doctor says only a change of climate will help. Janet, a stenographer in the office of George Wheeler, a wealthy broker, determines to forge a cheque and secure means to send her brother away. Janet tells them her employer has given the money. The broker discovers the forgery and sends to have Janet arrested. Violet enters the broker’s private office, just as he is gazing at the picture of his own loved and lost baby. He sends them home happy in the assurance that their sister shall return to them. He withdraws the charge against Janet, gives John money to go away, and with a lingering kiss for little Violet, leaves the family happy. “Garden Fete” (Oamaru) is a N.Z.P.S. topical film, and there are: “When it Comes Off” (comic), “For the Government” (A.B drama), “A Gay Dog Collared” (A.K. .comedy, and “Pottery Making in America” (Lubin industry). “His Sis-
